It’s been quiet around here for almost two weeks but I’m glad to announce that we are back and ready to roll! Just so you know, my initial plan was to create new content during weekends and then publish mid-week. Let’s just say things didn’t go as planned because by mid-week I was either still writing the post or in a hurry to go live without editing. Continue reading “BLOG RECAP, BIRTHDAY PLANS + FIRST GUEST POST!”
Good music would definitely make the cut for top five on my list of 10 favourite things. Music is such an integral part of me that I could tie certain songs to the memories attached to a particular phase of my life. Some time back, I listened to Chris Tomlin’s Good, good father, and I couldn’t help but remember the period between writing my final exams in undergrad and getting my first job. Oh well, that could be because it was my fave song at the moment and stayed on repeat Continue reading “A PEEK INTO MY CURRENT PLAYLIST”
Everyone seems to be talking about love this week because, St. Valentine’s day. To say the least, I became slightly irritated by the fuss surrounding the celebrations. During my commute, I honestly got tired of seeing event posters for Vals day almost after every pole. And some had the most hilarious themes! I have to confess to not being such a huge fan of Vals day. I still find it a tad silly to wear (a touch of) red or go on some fancy date or buy a gift for my sweetheart all in the name of celebrating lovers’ day. What ever happened to the other 364 days in the year? Continue reading “ON VALS DAY: 3 (SIMPLE) THINGS YOU CAN DO TODAY”
If there ever was something like a graduation anniversary, then it would be a year now I got my bachelors degree. Actually, twelve months after I submitted my project, and ten since I walked up the podium to receive the dean’s prize. Almost time to drop the “recent” title and hand over to the graduating set of 2017. Continue reading “3 TIPS FOR RECENT GRADUATES”
I am in a serious relationship with paperbacks. Though the memory of how we fell in love is a bit hazy now, it may have been the moldy, vintage smell of new books that got me hooked for life. From age three or probably four and through my teen years, we were almost inseparable. I just have a thing for piles of newspaper or neatly arranged novels on a shelf. Continue reading “PAPERBACKS, E-BOOKS OR AUDIO-BOOKS: WHAT ROCKS YOUR BOAT?”
The title should have been “fell properly” because from the time I could spell my name, I’ve always liked one boy or the other. In fact, I remember having a crush on a cute seat mate in primary 5, and I was only eight then!
In my second year in the university, Cupid decided that I would be her next target. I, the one everyone expected to have had her nose buried in books, fell in love with a certain somebody we will call K. It was the type of love that made me doodle on my notebooks and stare out Continue reading “THAT TIME I FELL IN LOVE (TWO LESSONS, AND HOW I GOT BACK UP)”
I can’t believe this is finally happening. Faenomenal is born today! If you knew my kind of person, you’d probably be giving me a dozen hugs and a warm cup of tea in celebration. This is because I have so much inertia when it comes to taking a new step, and an especially risky one at that. No one does the math (excuse the pun if you read my bio) of all things that could go wrong better than me. Continue reading “FIRST POST: GOOD REASONS YOU SHOULD NOT START ANYTHING AT ALL”
